From April 5–8, 2025, the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) held its annual congress in Madrid, bringing together hundreds of mental health professionals from across Europe and beyond. The Swiss Association of Psychiatric Trainees SVPA-ASMAP-ASAP was proud to take part in this major scientific event.
Under the central theme “Towards Real-World Solutions in Mental Health”, the congress featured a rich program of symposia, workshops, and research presentations. It addressed today’s major challenges in psychiatry, while promoting innovative real-world solutions to mental health care.
SVPA-ASMAP-ASAP members actively participated in scientific group discussions, workshops, and poster presentations, contributing their clinical and research insights. They reconnected with colleagues from the European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees (EFPT) and took part in early-career-focused discussions organized by the EPA Early Career Section.
SVPA-ASMAP-ASAP’s presence offered a valuable opportunity for professional exchange, sharing of clinical and research experiences, and strengthening ties with other European associations. We thank all members and collaborators who contributed to making this participation meaningful and impactful.
We look forward to seeing dear colleagues from national psychiatric trainee associations, familiar faces and new ones alike at the next edition in Prague in 2026!
